Personally, I think we are in pretty good shape!! It may sound funny, for a team with 3 wins, but I think football will be better next year and two years from now I expect to be back in a Bowl game with 7 or 8 wins at least!!!! Men's soccer is doing great, led by a junior, I believe they are in the round of 16 in the NCAA tournament this year which should even help recruiting more in the future!!! The Women's basketball team was better last year and appears even better this year, probably near the top of the WAC. The Women's golf team and the Men's too have been way above average, the Women getting to the NCAA Tourney!! The Women's softball team appears to be improving every year, probably should have made the tourney last year, but they have a chance to be very good in the future!! That leaves Men's basketball, and I have very serious concerns in this area!!! :frown: I don't think there is a chance in Hel! that JP's contract is renewed and the sad part is, I think by the end of January, everyone will know it , including the players and JP. Although that may have a positive effect on the team and they relax and just play basketball!! I am aware JP is a really nice guy, but he must prove that addage that , nice guys finish last!!! It would appear he is just way--way over his head in all aspects of college coaching!!!!!! The only time the teams his first two years did anything really good was when they pretty well ignored him and just played their game!! Last year of course was a total disaster with JP having absolutely NO control over the team, Parker ran it!! Kelley leaves before the season starts, I figure he couldn't take it anymore, especially playing on, what he knew would be a losing team again, so why waste a year of eligibility!!! Supporters can be as optimistic as they want to be but TULSA will never regain it's national reputation with JP at the helm!!!! The good news is, I think a new hungry, exciting coach has got some players to work with that if they are turned loose could be at least a .500 team and start moving back up the ladder again!!

Totally agree with you. I think we need a tough guy to toughen these guys up. He has no control over this team. But I can easily see the football team going to a bowl next year. Maybe I'm being a little optomistic but w/e.
