RE: FB Attendance
I wonder how many we get to Ford Field. When I bought my ticket on Wednesday, I asked how sales were going and they said they had sold "about" 6,000. That sounds pretty pathetic. I would hope a lot of fans are going up and planning to buy at the stadium. I don't think Akron has sold even 2,000. Don't think the time of the game will get many casual fans of the MAC to show up. Right now, I'm betting the entire crowd will be less than 20K, with UT topping out around 8K. In a 65K stadium, that is not going to look good on TV.

Over on the Zip's Board, they're saying the Rockets have sold over 15,000 so far.

RE: FB Attendance
Tickets may be purchased at the gate too. Last time I went a couple of years ago, tickets were only $10.00. Pretty sure there will be $10.00 tickets again. My advice to any Rocket fans attending is to park off Woodward, across the street from Hockey Town in Cheli's Chili lot. There is a church there too. The lot is off Elizabeth Street by Fox Theatre. Closer to Comerica Park, but, waaaaay easier to get out of Detroit.

RE: FB Attendance
I got to believe we have been leading The MAC in attendance for several years. At least in FB attendance anyhow.

Toledo is #1 in per game attendance this season, but OU led the MAC the 3 seasons before that, and Buffalo the year before that.

Have to believe Buffalo inflated their numbers immensely because I don't believe that either.

Depends on whether they had a big name OOC team in there that year. Big market, relatively speaking for the MAC, without a lot of competition for college football in the area.

That would be awesome if we have that many - or a lot more. Sounded a bit strange when she said only 6,000 tickets were sold through their office - and that was Wednesday afternoon.

RE: FB Attendance
I was going to guess 10-12,000 for tomorrow for Toledo. It has been since 2004, but Toledo fans can be lazy.

RE: FB Attendance
OU would have generated more interest.
We bought 8 Friday.... Id guess 15k Toledo fans. 5k Akron fans. 5k casuals. 25k and the camera facing Toledo making for a decent showing. As good as the GB would have at a home site for this game... But perfect weather in Detroit.

RE: FB Attendance
Just looked on the MAC site by using the seating chart and pretending to buy seats in certain quantities. TOTALLY sold out in middle 3 sections ans 122 where the band is. Akron has 2 sold out sections. Sparse in sections left and right of sold out sections.. Mostly single end seats... 10 yard line sections have quite a few left, but not in first 10 rows.
