I don't know anything. The board previously intimated Rudd was infatuated with him and Brad Martin really wanted him

The question now is...will Rudd and company admit they were wrong by fixing their bad decision? Or will they let the program sink further and bleed out?
They can’t look at it like this is just Tubby’s second year, they must view it like this has been a problem for several years now. After this year it will be 4 straight years of no NCAA tournament. It will be no AAC conference championships since the birth of the league. It will be 9 straight years of no Sweet 16’s.
They have to fix the basketball program now. Not wait. We’ve been waiting.

You don’t build the best practice facility in the country for mediocre or worse results.

Yet there’s people on here to this day who still claim we had some “secret agreement” to be in the big 12. Never mind that we were the 1st school eliminated when even Rice and Tulane made the initial cut.
I still have no idea what hiring Tubby had to do with a big 12 invite. People say it but no one can ever explain why.

All I can tell you is that there were some people very, very sure. And if you operate from that assumption, how much safer of a hire (not to tick-off the B12 powers that be) can you get than Tubby ? The thinking was you hire somebody with baggage, sketchy, whatever - you run some level of risk with the B12 guys voting to add us. Wanted to avoid any tiny possibility of that scenario.

I forgot who Bowen's man was, but I'm pretty sure I liked him over Tubby. It was someone legit. I forgot, someone can find it.

Rumors. Martin was supposed to be Pastner's knight. Now we're saying he is Tubby's. I've also heard Laurie.
The consistent angle is that Rudd did like him. Not infatuated. But the fact he had a NC pedigree, and ran a clean program.
At this point, doesn't really matter - right? All can see where we were and it's not getting better.

But wouldn't taking a coach away from a B12 member guarantee at least 1 vote against us?? So basically, Tubby killed our Big 12 dreams too.
