There's some noise out there that Gragg is the new guy at U of A. When Kelly Hines (Tulsa beat writer) asked him about it he said "no comment".

I'm cool with it. I think a lot of Tulsa people would be too. No one has really been thrilled with him since he came.

Don't mean this to be a shot at Tulsa, but wouldn't this seem like a pretty crappy hire by an SEC school? Tulsa isn't exactly lighting it up in either of the money sports right now.

Philip Montgomery to follow?

He work there before under Frank Broyles. Must have done alright to get invited back.

He's an Arkansas guy. Worked there and played there. He won't have problems raising money in a state with one significant program and one of the 2 or 3 most prestigious conferences. He did a pretty decent job making coaching hires, Monty was great and even if Haith doesn't pan out, he's still a big name that Tulsa probably shouldn't have been able to get.

Yeah, whether it works out or not I don't know, but MissSt and Ole Miss did it the right way--quickly and privately for the most part.

We need an AD that can bring in the money and put butts in the seats. Gragg hasn't done well at those things here. Yes, it was tougher with the economic turndown and 3 of the worst football seasons in the last 11 or so years, but we have to do better.
