Of course you are wrong, you are using the word "lucky" as if all the starting QB's got injured mid game. We beat OU, NIU, EMU, WMU, KSU, and BSU because we were the better team. Like I said, if the situation were flipped, you would be saying how EMU was blowing out CMU and got lazy and they came back and made it close. But because that argument doesn't fit your agenda, you will say how CMU was lucky to beat EMU.

No one thinks we are the best thing since sliced bread. We are a slightly above average team in a poor conference, especially this year. Toledo is the only good team. The three 8-4 teams OU/NIU/CMU are all meh, and we beat both of them.

Whatever helps you sleep at night Ken. I know I would be upset too if my team had 1 winning season the last 25 years or whatever the stat is.

I cant disagree with George. The games count, and CMU beat us, fair and square. I may be disgusted that we lost that game, and wish we didnt make do many poor decisions and mistakes leading to the last 21 points, but at the same time CMU probably wishes they didnt make the mistakes that led us to scoring before that. The better team won that game. Football is a team game, and everyone needs to perform well enough to win. CMU was the better team, from top to bottom that evening.

"...from top to bottom..."

...and on the sidelines.

Losing to CMU is not acceptable.

I appreciate it. You guys owned us last year and I believe 4/5 years before 2017. Regardless of the scores, you guys were better than us. This year CMU has gotten a lot of disrespect because many fans are acting like we "lucked out" winning certain games. I don't recall any flukey play or huge in-game injury. We did play you guys without Wassink, maybe that made a difference. However for OU, NIU, or EMU fans to act like we got lucky....I'm not sure how they can say that. We finished the season 8-4 heading to a bowl game while beating a P5 team, even though Kansas is a dumpster fire. By MAC standards, that is a pretty good season and we had a better season than anyone in the conference outside of Toledo.

Again, I agree with you. You were 8-4, and that is exactly what you deserved to be. You got better as season went along; we, unfortunately, regressed, and the team seemed to lose focus, probably at practice and on game days. Its all part of being a team.

If we had gotten cheated on a bad call, resulting in CMU winning that game, then I may have a different attitude; but the bottom line is we either didnt or couldnt put your team away when we had the lead. And CMU kept playing till the end, and won. End of story.

Good luck in the bowl.

^^ I agree. No controversies. CMU played (or at least stayed focused) for 60 Min, we did not. Sometimes the truth hurts.

We downright fell asleep after half against CMU... That Goddard fumble in the second half as we were about to score again was the turning point... we would have either been up HUGE or opened the door.... we opened the door for CMU and they jumped in...

Josh Allen injured and may not play.

Timely QB injuries are the Chimps best defense.

His coach says he is "very probable to be 100% for Bowl game".
