Looks like Markel is playing well for them, even though they suck. Wish he had stuck around, then we would have had to sign one fewer JuCo and would've had another schollie for next year.

Regardless, it wasn't like Markel was a huge difference maker, average D1 player. He would've made our team better, but maybe at the cost of developing Johnson.

Granted Markel would have been pretty good if not for his injuries imo...I remember when he torched #1 oak hill in high school.

I agree. A lot of players wouldn't have made it back from that first leg injury. Hope Markel does well each game, in a losing effort for Ole Miss.

I wish Markel well in the future. He would have been an asset for us this year, but he would rather play for the Black Bears/Land Sharks than stay in his hometown and play for Tubby.

Markel had 19 points on 7-11 from the field, 2-4 from outside, and 3-3 from the foul line. He was having an amazing game until Ole Piss signed Dedric and KJ with 8 minutes left in the game and froze him out. He didn't take a single shot in the last 13 plus minutes of the game including overtime, after scoring 19 points in the first 31 plus minutes.

Those damn cancerous Lawsons strike again, ruining it for everyone.

Ole Miss brought in a transfer C, and a JUCO All-American PF this off-season who aren't adjusting to real games. And they have Marcanvis Hymon starting at PF. No offense to the kid, but he's a 6'6" 200 pound PF.

But they have three really good guards. Everyone else on their roster might be worst than our team.

That's not going to work in the SEC. UTk, Alabama, and Vanderbilt flew by them this off-season.

And they lost their best recruit late last year to Georgetown. Just facts. AK is in trouble this year.

Just be glad we're not playing OM or SDSU.
