RE: ACC/B1G Challenge
Glad to see VT pull away frpm Iowa in the second half.

It's been easy to see even before the season began, but if Blackshear (aka the only rotation guy taller than 6'6") is sitting with foul trouble like the first half against Iowa, teams are going to be able to feast on second chance points.

The good thing is that this Hokies squad will be able to run a fair amount of the teams they play out of the gym with their pace, passing and spacing.

Either way tomorrow the ACC has put to rest the case over which was the better basketball conference. I don't know if you could expect to be 11-2 vs the G5, PAC, Big 12 or SEC.

Nice job!

That is some serious domination. Maybe the ACC should start a challenge with a conference that could better challenge us and give us some stiffer competition, like the
MAC or the Sun Belt.

Big East?

I know you are joking... The Big Ten has been tough in the recent past, but I can't remember dominating like this.

That is a tough draw for ND. Beating #3 MSU in East Lansing would be quite the feat.

It's actually still 11-2 ACC, with Notre Dame a six point dog in East Lansing.

RE: ACC/B1G Challenge
I'm wondering where all those doomsday posters are that were predicting the demise of the ACC because we lost the challenge last year by a couple of games?

Would be cool but both conferences would be afraid of a result like this year's ACC-B1G Challenge in basketball. They would also be afraid of effects on playoff chances. Finally, even if you wanted to do it, it might take 10 years or more to implement due to games already being scheduled so far into the future.

All valid points. It can't happen for a while absolutely. But I will quibble on the afraid part. If fear is steering the ship of state it will eventually sink anyway.

Agreed. Better for the SEC and ACC to eliminate all OTHER conferences, then split the money between themselves.

In football I'd love to see a power 5 agreement. Coordinate two interesting OOC games between p5 conferences. The ones that have annual rivalries would have 1 already. Give individual schools first crack at choosing each other and then help facilitate the rest. Let's end FCS games or move them to Spring game scrimmage.
