A couple of Iademarco 3s narrows the Jayhawk lead to 3 -- 15-18 -- at the end of the first quarter.

They're hanging in, but Kansas is keeping us at arm's length while we rack up team fouls.

Some amazing Kansas shots toward the end -- a reverse layup under the basket and a bank-shot buzzer beater -- give the Jayhawks a 40-30 lead at the half.

Iademarco has been incredibly sharp-shooting ... but we have little ability inside (ball handling/height/shot-making). Most plays are passing around the 3-point-line, then a half-way drive and kickout to a 3-shooter.

Owls lose 65-73.

Unforced turnovers and some cold shooting offset a heck of a 2nd-half comeback.

The past two years, Kansas WBB went 6-25 (0-18 in Big 12) and 8-22 (2-16) ... so they're understandably excited about their undefeated start.

Solid effort on the road. It's going to be very tough winning a game like this with basically just 6 players. Supposedly the freshman Sydne Wiggins might be available for conference play (she's still in a boot but the hope is she'll be able to start practicing soon?). Having her would certainly help the rotation.

A&M will be a tough test too but honestly the rest of the NC schedule is winnable. And even though the conference seems to be stronger this year from top to bottom, I don't think there are any conference games we have to chalk up as a loss before we even play it.

All signs continue to point to 2018-19 as the breakout season though.
