TTT mindset. We are a stepping stone job, like it or not. He had a chance to coach with his best friend in NFL and triple his pay. Can't blame him a bit.

Could have made that decision a month earlier and not a week before signing day. I’m no idiot. I’ve always said hire a young coordinator and if they leave us in a few years, at least they left us better than they found us. What Monken did was classless.

I'm with Beagle on this. I've got nothing but love for Monk, but if he were to take MSU job it is a MAJOR slap to our face and I've got nothing for him at that point.

Personally, I think it's crap. Just because MSU is looking doesn't mean he has any interest at all in leaving the NFL.

Im not so sure that decision could have been made a month earlier. I was pretty chapped about that at first too, but Monken is a class act.

The Bucs are 4-7. He could see the writing on the wall. It would be smart if he left.

It sucks because the leg humpers would say they hired a NFL coach not that he was a former USM coach that revived the program after a diasterous SEC coach destroyed it.

Hey I hate Monken left and how he left but can't blame MSU. They're not the dumpster fire we were and sounds like they need someone to hit the ground running that can recruit the area. Who better than someone who turned USM around and knows the recruiting area?

Monken has no interest.

Not really. Koetter was hired on January 15. Monken announced he was leaving on the 26th.
