No one else wants the job. It’s gonna be incredibly difficult to recruit to the next few years with incoming sanctions. At least he’s shown he can lead them to 6-6. When sanctions are gone, they’ll go after someone else.

I've known Matt for years and he is a great guy and definitely a good head coach. I wish him well in this job as it will be very difficult. On a side note he was one of the finalist for the USM job if i remember correctly.

There are plenty of people that want a $3 million job. He went 6-6, beat a ranked msu team and is hired on the cheap, all while the heavy sanctions loom. Hes also an ole ms grad. Why NOT keep him? Stupid not to. Sadler destroyed a program that was in the midst of winning with far less sanctions looming. Gotta give Luke credit. They may very well go after someone else down the road, but hes got a shot to make the best out of the situation and they will keep him as long as he does well.
