At this point, I don't care if UCF is distracted by the Scott Frost-Nebraska noise or whatever. I just want the Tigers to win this game so badly. I want the opportunity to play a big name school in a NY6 bowl. I believe our future is very bright but don't know how many times we'll have this chance.
RE: ***Official AAC Championship Game Thread*** (12/2)
I can’t even sleep. I feel like I’m playing in the game and I’ve never played football in my life. Gonna head to Liberty Bowl in morning and watch on field. Hope for a good crowd to celebrate a championship with. We are way overdue to beat UCF. Would be so sweet to ruin their season and send them to Memphis ...

Ferguson was horrible 1st meeting. Memphis OL playing much better now. All the Frost/Nebraska talk. Good spot for Memphis.

Like everyone believes, this is exciting.
And would be more exciting if a true playoff existed. Watching the Stanford USC game and thinking how much more fun would it be if the winner went to the playoffs.
I get all the arguments for more teams and all the arguments for fewer, but still have a hard time thinking a true conference champion advancing and then maybe an at large or two would diminish things. Yes...if six champions went then two more or if five went then three more the drama would be removed for a waiting Alabama, and likely a losing this weekend Clemson. But it would ADD so much more for our game and this PAC Twelve title game and football games themselves are so good that I think it would be fine.

Not 16 though, 8,
I agree completely. 8 is just right. 6 conference champs and 2 at large.
RE: ***Official AAC Championship Game Thread*** (12/2)
And now an 11-2 USC team will possibly watch an 11-2 Ohio Stte go to the playoffs, in spite of losing twice, badly. If champions went, then in that scenario both would. And both would be out with losses this weekend.
RE: ***Official AAC Championship Game Thread*** (12/2)
Let me tell you something, if tomorrow wasn't promised what would you give for today?
Forget everything else, forget everything else, forget that there was any sunlight left. What would you spend today thinking about, yourself, or the man that's besides you or the man that you're going to give everything in your heart for?
We get one opportunity in life, one chance at life to do whatever you're going to do. To lay your foundation and to make whatever mark you're going to make. Whatever legacy you're going to leave, leave your legacy and it's found through effort. Wins and losses come a dime a dozen. But effort, nobody can judge effort because effort is between you and you. Effort ain't got nothing to do with nobody else.
So that team that thinks they're ready to see you and think what they seen on film. They ain't saw what film shows because every day is a new day; every moment is a new moment. So now you got to go out and show them that I'm a different creature now than I was 5 minutes ago because I'm pissed off for greatness. Because if you're ain't pissed off for greatness, that means you're ok with being mediocre. There ain't no man in here ok with just being basic. So let's do what we do.
RE: ***Official AAC Championship Game Thread*** (12/2)
Such a big football game tomorrow morning.
Poor UCF, at least their rivals site is about 80-90% threads about Nebraska. They have been infested by Nebraska trolls too, all similar to our Arkansas trolls, reminding the Knight fans they have more tradition, like they do not know, even while they suck.
They have a funny thread on Memphis player lookalikes but I believe there are apps to match similar faces which makes the similarities less impressive.
They have had a good year for sure, as have we. Their smarter fans, and there are notvthat many, recognize we played pretty bad last time and that is less likely again, recognize Miller and Ferguson but are rather ignorant about the RBs we have let alone the offensive line play.
But that is acceptable as most do not study the details of an opponent. I ma ignorant of their team beyond the QB, who has played fairly well, and that defensive lineman, who has a great motor. They seem to have a fast team, vulnerable on defense against a team that doesn't not self destruct.
Our backs should play well, as should our whole offense. Theirs likely will too.
Believe it really comes down to Avery and Carter. Can they elevate their games, allowing the rest of the defense to make plays. Can we continue to get turnovers? If our offense drops it four times, dropping meaning turning it over, we are incredibly likely to lose. Like most games, turnover margin likely determines, hence the need for Carter etc...to make some plays.

Anyone want to give some odds on Frost being at UCF next year? I'll be shocked if there isn't a presser on Sunday (or shortly thereafter) announcing him at Nebraska.

^Frost is both feet out the door, but he's still a great coach coaching a great team tomorrow.
I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Here's to Santa not delivering coal. Memphis fans have been good and deserve a win. Have you seen our basketball teams?

Actually,I haven't seen our basketball team! I do hear they're hot garbage though.
