Wish him and his family all the best in their future, he represented the program and university very well.

Yeah, I've heard Jimbo as well. Would be a great hire.

Sources w/knowledge of TAMU search process tell me Jimbo-Fisher has a deal to be next Head Coach @AggieFootball .Fisher will coach 1 final game at FSU but not Bowl game should they become eligible. I'm told his TAMU contract will be at least 5 yrs/7.5 million per year. @KPRC2

My first reaction to the Jimbo news was "why" but in truth its a solid move for him.

Not bad if they can pull it off. Might Tech now cut Kingsbury loose and grab Sumlin? Seems like that would be a really smooth transition.

Billy Liucci of TexAgs.com reported earlier Sunday that Arizona State might be a good landing spot for him if he decides to jump back in to the fray immediately. Arizona State fired Todd Graham Sunday.

RE: Sumlin Officially Fired at Texas A&M
Arizona State would be a good fit for Sumlin. A&M better not screw up on his replacement, with three other jobs open in the West there's a high risk of falling back in the pecking order if you make the wrong hire while the others get a good one.

With no offset right? Meaning, if he coaches Arizona St next year, the Arizona St salary cannot be used to reduce the A&M buyout.

What a deal. Quite frankly, he deserves it. Since the Great Depression, only one A&M coach has a better career record than Sumlin at 67%. And that's Slocum at 72%. They ran him off too.
