don't forget there are no blowers and it folds up to more than 4 feet by 4 feet, completely compressed. Maybe offer it to FAU or some high school with an owl mascot (that has to be who is bidding on Sammy-unless it is being bought to be burnt at the stake)

Oh, I saw both of those facts. All the more reason I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on it, as cool as it might have been for Christmas or Halloween decorations.

I'm a former Sammy. I would probably burn the last costume before I would wear that thing.

It did cross my mind to bid on it to take and set up outside TDECU for the next game... But I live in an apartment, so storing it is a no go.

We don't have those.

It also occurred to me that it would be cool to have on Austin marathon day (the route goes down my block).

Received a call from Rice today and it seems that the basketball poster I won has a rigid backing on it and due to its size would cost almost $250.00 just to ship it to me !!!! If anyone in the Houston area would like it send me a PM. Since I bought it to help Rice, if you will donate 1/4 of what I paid for it back to athletics it will be yours.
