Key would be if it is not Memphis, how many other AAC teams would bring a boatload of fans. How many would we bring to a Nashville if that is the destination for our first or second place team.
Getting the Music City Bowl needs to be a priority for Aresco. Probably impossible though.

Here is some info on IOWA STATE. Jack Trice Stadium (originally Cyclone Stadium and formerly Jack Trice Field) is a stadium, in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is primarily used for college football and is the home field of the Iowa State Cyclones. It opened on September 20, 1975.
It is the third-largest stadium by capacity in the Big 12 Conference and the third-newest in the conference, behind only Milan Puskar Stadium of West Virginia (which had its design based on Jack Trice Stadium) and Baylor's McLane Stadium. Including hillside seats in the corners of the stadium, the facility's official capacity is 61,500. Their average attendance per game last year was 52,557.

We had an associate AD at Indiana that once told me his dream job would be AD at Iowa or Iowa State. No NBA team, no NFl, no MLB. Win games and make a lot of money.

It's less than a 3 hour drive
No way we take more fans to Nashville than current season ticket holders.
10,000 would be a good crowd- we might get a few more for an “access 6 “ bowl.
We took way more than that to the Birmingham Bowl 2 years ago.
that was the highest attendance at any Birmingham Bowl. 59,400. I don't think 49k of it was Auburn. I think there were more than 10,000 people at that first McDonalds on the I-22 when we stopped on the way back.

UCF fan likes to point out that the year they played in the LB, they hold the all-time record for attendance. 'Course... they played State. I tried to tell them, State has a HUGE alumni base that already lives in Memphis, but UCF fan was pretty insistent.

I went to that game. State fans outnumbered them probably 7 or 8 to 1. They wont hold the record after 12/30/17.

Naw dude. They will always hold the record. It was over 63k. The stadium isn't that big anymore.
