I was told this week that the administration is floating the idea of changing "Rebels" to "Patriots". Has anyone heard this?

If there is any truth to this, I think it ethically, morally and spiritually sucks. God forbid we have little tricorner hatted figures on our players' helmets. We are patriots all right, but sure as hell not patriots for the PC crowd that would have us deny our ancestors and regard them as criminals and evil people.

So in this world of PC, 13% or less rules! Just like the State Flag issue, 35% should rule.

I won't say any more on this board about the above, although I have a lot to say about it!

What a miserable bunch of butt kissing, craven, weak kneed wimps we have in the administration. Y'all get ready to be "Patriots". You all can also get your checkbooks out and begin paying reparations. You all can also get ready to go before Truth and Reconcilation Commissions to confess yourselves for being white, arrogant, elitist, etc. As for me, Idaho begins to look very good.

There is only one way right now to protest what these peopleinthe administration are doing. Boycott the games, listen or watch them, but don't go. Send no money to the loyalty foundation and such. The administration there thinks tht the alumni will take their bull**** because they just can't do without going to the games and Grove. If you all put up with this crap, they will be right. At some point, though, you will have to ask yourself just what team and what school are you supporting, because it won't be the one you attended.

"Patriots"? WTH is that all about?

The heads of Ole Miss better get their act straight before they turn away everyone around them.

Where's the UM system Board of Trustees here? Shouldn't they be putting an immediate stop to this BS? Any school better think long and hard before changing their nickname/mascot, and it seems to me they're just being rash and got the egos out-of-check. Next thing you know, you can say goodbye to Ole Miss being on any jersey or shirt...it'll be all Mississippi.

Someone needs to find the strippers in Pensacola and send em to Pete Boone's doorstep.
