Unfortunately, that was less than the home game vs. Arky State (26,376) and Rice (28,235). But it did eclipse the Nichols State game attendance by 1,867. (Probably the number of USM fans that actually gave a crap to travel).
As we all know from the constant posts about attendance on this board, there are dozens of reasons why games do/don't draw. I'm not going to pretend USM wil outdraw anybody else in the G5 by any appreciable numbers, but I'd rather play them than a lot of the slaw that is on our upcoming scedules. If you don't want to play them, more power to you. The attendance argument is just drivel though.
The attendance argument isn't "drivel" if people (again, outside of a few dinosaurs) showed (by attending the game) that is was different from other games.
Message board conjecture is one thing. Actual attendance numbers are proof.
Agree to disagree on my end. Much rather play USM than Monroe.
Fair enough.
(As long as that doesn't mean we go back to CUSA).
Agree on that. CUSA 3.0 is a mess.
