got annihilated by Samford yesterday 73 to 20 something

This game really pisses me off. I think it's disgusting to end our home season destroying an overmatched team after the disgraceful season we've had.

It's kind of like getting the snot beat out of you then turning around and looking for some skinny little kid to take out your anger and try to feel better about yourself.

We have no business scheduling the VMI's of the world.

Don't be too hasty. It may be the only win we get this year outside of Virginia Tech.

It's a meaningless game against a state opponent that has alumni in the region. It's a chance to get the young guys some more time (not that they won't be anyway because by that point they'll be playing out the string). And in the past 10 years, VMI has played Virginia (twice), all three of the armed forces academies and a bunch of MAC schools, so while they're not going to offer much resistance (one hopes), it's also not as though they're dipping into NAIA or the USCAA like some schools do to fill out a basketball schedule.

Plus it's not like the Monarchs scheduled thinking they'd be sitting at one or two wins entering that game.

Sad but true ..... we are truly in the running for worst FBS team in the nation -- what a joke, a total embarrassment.

The gap between us and Tech is as big as between VMI and ODU. As bad as this team is, if we overlook them and get all cocky like VT did with us, it could be a game. I’ll just be glad to win one.
