RE: Should USF be ranked?
Boise State gave up 42 points to this Virginia team?
Yeah, quality loss!
UVa is pathetic.

Yes. USF is a top 25 team.

RE: Should USF be ranked?
Are we talking about the same committee that put Miss state that struggled with umass and Arkansas ahead of UCF?

By rankings that will change after this week... I believe USF is 1-2 against top 100 teams.

That's what I think. Regardless of how great a game that was today, it's rare for somebody to move up with a loss.
But USF certainly deserves to be in the Top 25.

Gtfo. We have two bad losses. No chance we're ahead of Boise.
You can't lose two games to group of 5 schools and think you deserve a ranking. We had an awful season.
Bad loss? You just went toe to toe in Orlando with what should have been a top ten team. Houston is not trash either. You do know Boise lost to Virginia......right? I'm sorry, your resume is better.
Virginia is p5.
UCF is not a top 10 team. They are the best G5 team. Should put them in the 20-25 range.
Beating us may have hurt their sos. Their ranking might go down a bit.
Dont be salty. We had chance, well a few and we lost. Good game. Hopefully the CCG is as exciting.
Good game UCF
There is no way in hell the CCG can keep pace with today's game. I'm not sure I have seen many more exciting college games than that.

No doubt
I posted earlier today that voters should be so embarrassed by not voting USF into Top 25 that they should even after the loss

UCF and USF would roll Virginia.
Virginia beat Boise State by 19 on the road. They beat UConn at home in Charlottesville by 20. Boise is hot garbage.
What was the score in the USF Ga Tech game? Playing FCS schools, San Ho, and Illinois is worse than Marshall a few years back.

Boise State highest winning percentage of all programs since 2000, ranked in the top 25 16 straight years. 3 BCS wins.

BSU has 3 dubyas in such games. It's nice being in the conversation pretty much every season though.

It all boils down to coaching. Boise State built their brand over an extended period of time because you didn't consistently have your coach poached. Now that they have the brand, they get the benefit of the doubt more often. You consistently start in preseason rankings or get votes. Thats a head start and these preseason ranking are complete bullcrap to begin with, see FSU. I don't care what the hell the committee says, they hear the noise, the media, and the polls. Even back in the BCS, polls were part of the formula.

Really?
Houston Nutt - Arkansas
Dirk Koetter- Arizona State
Dan Hawkins - Colorado
Chris Petersen - Washington
IMO that's a lot of poaching.

Petersen stuck around far longer than most successful non-P5 coaches do. The only other exceptions are Patterson and Whittingham when they were in the MWC.

Exactly what I meant. Surprised he conviently left that off. Boise State is just Idaho with less academics if Peterson jumps ship after a year or two.

I mean Scott Frost will be the first coach to be poached from UCF right? Have any AAC teams had 4 coaches poached by P5 schools?

Pitt beat Undefeated #2 Miami and I don’t think Pitt should be ranked
USF hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record.
No, they shouldn’t be ranked.
Enjoy the St.Pete bowl
