And that's the problem-- UCF hasn't played a single Top 40 program this year. Give them credit for taking care of business, but no way they deserve a Top 4 spot. Does anyone really think they could beat Ohio State or Penn State?

No, but remember, 11 years ago we beat them at their place. Talk about two programs going in opposite directions. More recently, they were 0-12 two years ago. They made a coaching change and see the results. I don’t think we can turn it around that fast. But we need a paradigm shift.

I haven’t followed UCF much at all the last 2 years... but is that all UCF did? Change coaches? No change in recruitment policy? No upgrade in assistant coaches and, of course, salaries? No facilities? No increase in football budget? I’m not being snarky. I’d teally like to know?

Nothing major in the last two years that I am aware of. O’Leary had a weird habit of having wildly fluctuating win totals from one year to another, so it’s likely that this team relied on a not insignificant number of players from the 0-12 year.

UCF’s big facility push occurred under O’Leary when they finally built an on-campus stadium. But maybe their BOT increased the operating budget for Frost after seeing some returns from the Fiesta Bowl win they had under O’Leary.

You should brag. UH had a pretty good season, with wins over Arizona, Navy, and South Florida. The team is definitely headed in the right direction.
