I give a point to Running Game. Hoeky, you gotta do better. You said you give up but we all know you won't. You've demonstrated an ability to have the last word.
I'd start by answering RG's question.
I was literally one of the only people here saying I felt very confident we were heading in a positive direction during a dreadful 1-11 season. I took a lot of heat for that, but stood by all of it. And look where we ended up.
I also saw a lot of red flags early this season in the non-conference games and took heat for that as well.
I’ve given more than enough factual data to support my arguments over the years. At this point, people have essentially taken sides and made up their minds.
All I hear from the other side are excuses lacking any substance whatsoever.
It’ll always be “wait until next year” mentality around here I guess.

RE: Toledo
By default, I’ll give a new coaching staff some leeway in Year 1. Did the same for Fleck.
We didn’t need to with Darnell or Cubit because they shot out of the cannon immediately.
I think the shift from the overwhelming Fleck cannot be understated, especially among kids who rose from the ashes and “lived the dream (season)” with him. Love or hate him, he can put the Jedi mind spell on people. I think that adjustment was even harder than most coaching changes out there.
So maybe I’m among the Wait till Next Year camp. No injury excuses, no culture shift excuses, no ‘omg we have no QBs or WRs with experience’ excuses.
