The WNIT rematch game is 7 PM Friday.

Hopefully the ladies can finally pull it together.

Nova is 3-0 on the season and coming off a 64-55 win over Duke. Another tough opponent in this early portion of the season for the LD's.

JMU's losses so far have been to Rutgers, who is 4-1 so far...at Tennessee, who is 4-0...and vs St. Joe's who is 3-0. Note, Rutgers' only loss is to defending national champion and current #3 in the nation, South Carolina, today by 10 pts. RU was down by 7 entering the 4Q.

American just defeated Vermont, 64-62, at the buzzer. I figure there will be a bit of a delay in the tip of the VU-JMU game. Winner gets American tomorrow.

Dukes made a valiant comeback but just dug the hole too deep. Villanova wins, 60-57. VU was up by 13, 55-42, with 6:22 left in the game.

JMU faces host, Vermont, tomorrow at 5pm.

Not sure any loss is good, but I felt like this team stuck in there the entire game. Just couldn't do enough to take the lead and break away. This game definitely gave me hope that this team can be good.
We are better than our record indicates. Hoping that this tough schedule will pay off once CAA play starts.

ESPN3 has our game with Vermont trailing 24-21 mid second Q.

Dukes down by 2 36-34 at the half.

Vermont has hit a ton of threes so far in the game.

Good Gals hold Vermont to 6 pts in the 3rd quarter and take a ten point lead 52-42 to the start of the 4th quarter.

Kelly with 18, Smalls with 15.
