As expected Kent State football coach Paul Haynes was let go after last night's loss to Akron.

Haynes was 14-45 in five seasons as HFC at his alma mater, including 2-10 this year.

Hard to believe he lasted 5 seasons. Probably because he was an alum.

Took the leave for prostate cancer surgery earlier in the season. Was making about $405,000/yr on a 5 year deal that is up.

MAC schools don't typically fire coaches in middle of a contract, because it is too expensive. Easier not to renew them. That is a terrible record. Yikes.

I hope they dont hire Tim Daoust away from us.

Obviously coaching wasn't our only problem this year, but this is what scares me if Lester can't turn things around.
