Syracuse 2-3 Zone
One thing going for the Rockets tonight is their familiarity with the famous Syracuse 2-3 Zone Defense as they face the same type of defense twice a year when they play Eastern Michigan coached by former Syracuse Assistant, Rob Murphy. While Syracuse obviously has better talent than EMU, knowing how to attack that type of zone will hopefully benefit the Rockets. Coach K says that the way to beat this zone is to get into the middle and attack rather than settle for a bunch of 3 point shots. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.
