70-68! When do they present the 7th place trophy?

Big Dance, here we come!!!
Is our RPI under 250?
MM better get back to teaching defense.
We can start winning the 66 to 63 ball games.
Win is a win.
Be home by tonight and celebrate Thanksgiving.

Current RPI appears to be around 293

I wonder why MD’s game thread went unviewed? Nice win for the Huskies over the Jaspers!

UW-Milwaukee game will be interesting, Panthers humiliated Iowa State by 18 points. Maybe NIU can make it competitive in the Convo

I think they did lose to a DII school, its hard to judge those games, they are like bowl games, some teams are interested in them and some are not.

Good win....and needed. In all reality they beat two decent teams And lost to two decent teams. Are we going to the sweet 16....no....but we are competitive and young. Let them gel and I think we will be an above .500 team with a lot of upside

Rockford never looked so good this weekend. Hopefully they can win by 20 and top it off with a Detroit bowl announcement

RE: Wednesday hoops thread
Starting to see a trend that we have seen with NIU, globalized to the MAC this year. Offense is up, defense is down. CMU/Akron being a notable exception to this trend.

RE: Wednesday hoops thread
Team played better today. Defense played with energy most of the game. I think there were 5 offensive fouls that would have helped us pull away if the calls went our way. Could of had the Florida Atlantic game as well but it's good to end with a win. This tournament didn't have flashy names but many quality teams. I think 8 different conferences were represented. They could have scheduled easier teams but took a risk with a tough tourney. Have to win at least 4-5 more nonconference games to be considered a successful nonconference schedule. I think they can win 3 but hoping for a couple more. Uic and Milwaukee will be tough but at least they're at home. Chicago state, Rockford and central Connecticut should help the nonconference win total.

Its early in the season.
We are young and inexperienced.
We may improve but so do most other teams.

Ending season above .500 would be an "achievement" but certainly not what are expectations year in year out- but it's the same old- same old. Like Einstein said: doing same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is plainly dumb .Either Monty recruits more and better players or he is gone after next year. Eight yrs of mediocre teams is way too many.

BTW: Manhattan is a small private Catholic college and Jaspers are named in honor of Brother Jasper. I recall NIU having played them once or twice years ago but don't recall winning or losing.

I just remember them from making the tournament recently. Their name sounded cool so I picked them in the tourney

That Arizona team plays absolutely no defense.

According to archives, we have never played them before now.

Arizona was offering at least one recruit six figures per the FBI report. Karmic to see them unraveling.
