Injury report
Jarvion vs. Everybody, basically, the theme of the presser today.
Falcon probably out, but Ekwoge is good, so we have two serviceable options back there and one quick walk-on.
Watson done, Curtis likely out, but still plenty of options at WR, we just need them to hold on to the balls.
Clark may be out. That one hurts, we're short on dominate defensive lineman.
You just have to laugh at this point: https://youtu.be/Dy0nfREXVjM
But it really has to suck for all these young men...

RE: Injury report
I've always felt Ekwoge is a bit underrated.
At this point, we are so obviously depleted that it's going to be tough to compete and last 60 minutes with just about anyone.
Hopefully we come out with a solid effort against Toledo.

Yeah, this could be his big moment! Not just a blocker anymore!

RE: Injury report
This is getting ridiculous... that has to be nearly 20 players at this point. Losing Watson sucks... losing Clark sucks worse... but yeah we should be pissed at the coaches if the Toledo game goes poorly.

Can we watch the game first before jumping to conclusions and start finger pointing... or no?

RE: Injury report
A list of who's not injured might be shorter than a list of who is.

RE: Injury report
You have to hand it to Coach Lester and his assistant coaches. They have NEVER used injuries as an excuse for our close losses this season. And let nobody doubt that they have been a significant factor-especially losing Wassink. That likely cost us the CMU loss and arguably the NIU loss.
But, it is what it is. This will give some younger, talented players a chance to show what they can do. And that's not all bad.
I still think we can beat Toledo.

How can you say that when we were leading 28-14 in the 4th quarter, and they scored 3 unanswered TD’s to win?
Yet, after all that... you still think we are capabale of beating Toledo?
I am just so confused where your expectations lie... capable of beating the best team in the conference without half our roster out, but “is what it is” losing to Central at home.....

RE: Injury report
Losing to Central was mainly about the two fumbles and the blocked punt.
We can beat Toledo. Young receivers and young D will need to step up.
This is going to be so much fun. Looking forward to it.

We lost because we went 3 and out repeatedly, because CMU got wise that the only pass we could complete was a play-action to the TE.
We are capable of beating Toledo if Goddard continues his growth trajectory, and if they fail to be as smart at CMU.

Thanks for replying for me and I agree with your comments. I put Hoekjeness on Block when I recognized he had nothing of value to add.

If I blocked everyone on this board who disagreed with me, it’d be awfully elementary and quite frankly a boring place to visit.
Some of you guys take this thing WAY too seriously.

But remember on 2 of those three and outs we punted and they fumbled the catch due to conditions and we got excellent field position. I was thinking, don’t run on first down, just punt right away. We actually made better progress by kicking than running more plays.
