Game 4 - Shenandoah
Okay, so I know you didn't seriously think Shenandoah needed a scouting report...right, ...right??

I will tell you that they are 1-1 and are a guard oriented squad, led by Kwa McDonald (long lost cousin??), Aaron Patterson and Jonah Meredith. Patterson is their best 3 point shooter and Meredith is a 6'7" guard, unusual at the D-III level. All three average in double figures.

Okay, that's it. Go watch the game. Hopefully, we get to reward the end of the bench with some decent playing time to compensate for their hard work in practice.

Here are some Weekly Conference Notes:

PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Eli Pemberton • Hofstra So., Guard

Pemberton averaged 19.0 points and 3.8 rebounds as Hofstra went 2-2 last week against a challenging non-conference slate. The sophomore guard scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Pride knocked off Dayton in the first round of the Charleston Classic. He followed with 23 points and seven rebounds against SEC foe Auburn and had 14 points against ACC member Clemson. For the week, he shot 54% (26-48) from the floor, including 8-of-17 from 3-point range.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:

Jarvis Doles • Drexel Fr., F, 6-9

Doles averaged 9.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as Drexel went 2-2 in a busy four-game week. The freshman forward contributed 11 points and seven rebounds against Mercer, 10 points and eight boards vs. Drake and nine points in a victory over Houston. For the week, he shot 66.7% (12-18) from the floor and 61.5% (8-13) from 3-point range.

The CAA Week: There were a couple nice Tourney wins last week. Behind Pemberton's career-high 27, Hofstra beat Dayton 72-69, in the first round of the Charleston Classic. Drexel defeated Houston 84-80 last Friday in the first round of the Paradise Jam as Tramaine Isabell put up 21 points and 16 rebounds.
CAA men’s basketball teams have combined to post a 20-20 record against non-conference foes through the first two weeks of the season. Two of the setbacks have been to nationally ranked teams (#1 Duke and #6 Wichita State).

THE STAT SHEET: In addition to the impressive numbers posted by "He who shall (generally) remain Nameless", several other players had eye-popping weeks. Drexel’s Isabell averaged 22.5 ppg and 9.3 rpg over four games, including a career-high 32 points vs. Drake. UNCW’s Devontae Cacok averaged 19.0 ppg and 17.0 rpg, including a 22-point, 17-rebound effort at Davidson, while Seahawks’ teammate Jordon Talley averaged 15.5 ppg and 13.0 apg, including 19 points and 14 assists in a victory over Campbell. CofC’s Joe Chealey averaged 21.5 ppg, which included a game-high 29 points in a road win at Charlotte. Elon’s Dainan Swoope averaged 21.0 ppg over four games, including a career-high 26 points in a double-overtime triumph over FIU. Towson’s Brian Starr scored a career-best 21 points on perfect 7-for-7 FG shooting in a road win at rival Loyola. Delaware’s Eric Carter averaged 14.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg for the week, including 18 points and 12 boards at Bradley, and, of course, Nathan Knight averaged 22.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg, highlighted by a career-high 31 points and 14 boards in a win over Hampton.

Disa & Data:

Nate Knight set Kaplan Arena records by going 18-of-22 at the free throw line, as part of his 31 point outburst. He’s shooting 81.6% from the FT line for the year.

Justin Pierce posted his first career double-double (19 pts/10 reb) at UCF and had 13 points and 9 boards vs. HU. He’s averaging 16.7 ppg and 8.7 rpg while shooting 54.1% from the floor for the year.

Matt Milon hit three treys and scored 15 points vs. HU and made four treys and netted 14 points at UCF. He’s averaging 12.3 ppg for the season.

W&M was 28-of-34 (82.4%) at the FT line against Hampton and is shooting 79.4% from the stripe for the season.

The Tribe is still looking to break open the 3 point accuracy, although the second half at UCF is a trend in the right direction. Currently the Tribe is hitting only 30% of their 3's (21 of 70). Milon is tops at 44%.

Go Tribe!!

Don't miss this opportunity to see the guys look good vs the Hornette's. It's fun to be on this side of the fence.

RE: Game 4 - Shenandoah
Would like to see the freshmen get significant minutes playing with some of the first unit tonight. And if we are seriously going to use Cole Harrison as a backup this season, he should play 20 minutes tonight, and we should feed him. Get the big man some minutes and build his confidence a little.

Game 4 - Shenandoah
We should win this one walking away but I felt the same way about Howard last year and we made their guard look like Russell Westbrook

It's the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and a non-D1 opponent. It's understandable.

Yes it is. I don't like that we are in this position. But I've probably said enough on that.

Nobody is going to confuse Harrison of being fleet of foot. I do like how he rebounds and his touch around the hoop

Tribe shooting cooling a bit coupled with some careless play.

RE: Game 4 - Shenandoah
That was good experience for the second string. Jihar isn't afraid to shoot, and he had some nice-looking shots.

I know Jihar can shoot the ball, but he was such a good slasher on high school. I'd like to see him expand his game from just a spot up shooter.

RE: Game 4 - Shenandoah
Shenandoah shooting 17%. 0-13 from 3. I guess that's why we have 26 rebounds

Billy's nephew is 0-6. That apple didn't fall far from the tree, now did it?
