From RealGM:

Quote:2019 first round draft pick to Boston
Memphis' 1st round pick to Boston protected for selections 1-8 in 2019 and 1-6 in 2020 and unprotected in 2021 [Boston-Memphis-New Orleans, 1/12/2015]

Even if we get a top five pick I have zero confidence in this front office not messing it up.

While I have a little more confidence in the Grizz FO, the losing streak does make one wonder if Pera take this opportunity to switch out Wallace. Especially if they decide to move on from the Mike and Marc era.

While our track record isn't great, we don't really have any other options. We won't get valuable free agents, and I don't see any players on our current roster being All-Stars 3 to 5 years down the road.

There are a lot of teams that have gotten better through the draft (and through trading known assets for younger pieces). A lot of those teams have achieved success recently because of it. Philly, Boston, OKC, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Golden State, and LA Lakers are all examples. Very few teams can build a team without successful draft picks.

We got EXTREMELY lucky with ZBo and Marc ending up as All-Stars. I don't see us being able to pull that off again.
