P5 Hurricane Cancellation Fallback With UCF/USF Flavor
In poetic justice for UCF, if GT loses to Georgia, they will not be going bowling with a 5 and 6 record, never knowing if they could've have gotten to the 6th win to make themselves eligible. Florida can only get to 5 and 6 with a win over FSU and still never become bowl eligible this year. If Florida did beat FSU, FSU also would not become bowl eligible.

This could be the year where 4 Florida teams are going bowling and none of them FSU or Florida. When was the last time neither Florida nor FSU were bowl eligible in the same year?

5-6 teams could go bowling if there are available slots, and they have a good enough APR. Also, 5-6 is a better record than 5-7.

FWIW--McMurphy is predicting 77 bowl teams for 78 post season slots.

Well, if that happens, then only one will go. I think last year we had a handful.

That cheapens the bowls even more. When only 11 games were played per team, everyone had a winning record for bowl games. Maybe it will get to the point where 1 and 11 San Jose State will get to a bowl game too.

Espn killed the bowl season. At the very least you should be required to have a winning record. If you're in the g4, you should be required to be 2 games over .500.
