KU players not shaking hands with Mayfield
Seriously? Exactly what message were they trying to send? As bad as we were during the Porter years we didn't sink to that level of stupidity. KU does not need to give any team a reason to take them to the wood shed, much less OU.

After he grabbed his crotch, I wouldn't want to touch his hand either.

It was at the coin toss with two children standing there.

He didn't grab his junk at the coin flip with the kids there, I don't think.
Kansas players refused to shake his hand, for some reason, which is dumb. Then he told them to shove it and kicked their azzes the whole game. Unless I missed something, which is entirely possible, I don't see why he apologized. Screw Kansas. They started the thing and why wouldn't they shake the guy's hand? Curious about that.

No he grabbed his junk later when he was on the sidelines. I don't have a problem with them not shaking hands if they can take the azz whipping that ensues.

Kid's immature but Kansas got a big lesson in "Don't Start None, Won't Be None" this weekend.

Just absolutely silly on their part. Know your role.

Yes they refused to shake his hand at the coin toss. He did his thang after he was punking them.

Mayfield is a bum. A thug.

No self control whatsoever.

He was dismissive, taunting and rude before the handshake, then overly stuck his hand out to them...almost mockingly.

They had enough, so the refusal.

Well before the ceremony.

Haven't seen anything that indicated that...maybe I missed it

Sounds like he might have pulled a Rodney King. However, I missed it too.

Sounds like Mimi attempting to rationalize total bullcrap behavior by KU. When you are as terrible as KU you do not try to show up anyone.

Emily Post would commit suicide if she had to live in today's society.

RE: KU players not shaking hands with Mayfield
Judging by his actions at the end of the game, there's no need to rationalize Mayfield's actions.

He put on full display his immaturity and childish ways.

Sounds more like racecar guy is the one rationalizing total bull from a hooligan. A chump. A clown.

Nonsense.

Not rationalizing anything. But am justifying it.

Mayfield was a jerk before their game. And if you cannot see the taunting manner in which he stuck his hand out you are willfully blinded.

Good player...grade A *******.

Mayfield is a public figure so he cannot do whatever he wants without consequences.

Families and kids watching so he has to keep it clean when though Kansas was being asshats by not shaking hands and taking cheap shots
