Coach Smith - Coming to Terms
I really want to see Coach Smith be successful. I feel he is an amazing basketball coach. Wanted to see him have a swan song taking the Tigers back to NCAA prominence.

Lomax going to Wichita was OK

Harris not signing immediately after the Lomax signing is REALLY concerning. It should have been a domino effect.

At this point, I don’t see Coach Smith being the coach we need.

That said, I’ll always have high respect for him and he is definitely a Hall of Fame coach due to his achievements and the fact he’s always played by the rules.

Tubby deserves HOF membership for his body of work and he is well respected by his peers and the media.

Tubby, IMO, needs more time to prove his worth. It is possible our team will improve with experience, but a favorable season looks very doubtful.

You're right. We need a coach who is willing to live on the edge, recruit the gray areas, cheat when necessary, bend the rules, more than one bag man, lie right to your face, but always have plausible deniability. A fall guy in place at all times. In other words the second coming of Cal.

Sir, Excuse me but please don’t put words in my mouth. I am not advocating doing the crap UNC, UL Auburn, etc did.

I just said Coach Smith is a Hall of Fame Coach.

That said, I’m admitting the hire was a mistake. We need a hard charging coach who will work tirelessly recruiting and play by the rules.

We have a Top 10 practice facility

We have a Top 10 arena to play in

We now need a Top 30 coach to get us back in the Top 20 on a regular basis

I endorse these comments.

We need better fans. This is the best X's and O's coach we've had since Dana Kirk.

Nothing will get fans back in the seats like winning. I respect Coach but was not/is not what we need. And for YEARS the home schedule has not made it worth the time/money to watch 2 hours of dysfunction. I am not sure we can come back from the decisions made by the 2 admins. GTG...beat SMU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
