Glad we were able to go on a run shortly before half because stat wise we should be up big (we're shooting 59 percent and they are shooting 21 percent).

Fouls could be an issue in the second half.

14 TO’s has a way of denting a big shooting percentage advantage.

Bishop has once again lost his offensive aggressiveness-- he didn't take a single shot despite playing 15 of 20 minutes in the first half. That just will not cut it as the defense will simply start cheating and playing off him.

An 11-0 run ups the Rice lead to 61 - 43 at the 11:32 mark. Cashaw (21) and Adams (16, 8 assists) both with career highs.

Let's not die down the stretch as we did against Eastern Kentucky, when we had an 11 point lead half way through the second half.

Sloppy play or good defense?

Robert Martin finally gets some points. I still think he needs to be a big key for us. He can shoot from the outside but it's more of a set shot than a true jumper.

Cashaw with 27 (in 27 min). Love to hear that. Fouled them on a 3pt shot. Hate to hear that.

80-59 5:14 to go.

This one is comfortably in hand. Nice effort on the road. I suspect NW State was better last year but we only beat them at home by 7 last season. Hopefully they can put in Lester and the walk-ons for the final 2 minutes.

Still a lot of tough road games in the non-conference schedule, but at least the remaining home games are winnable.

Congrats to Scott Pera on his first collegiate head victory.

Ako had 16 points, 9 assists, 0 TOs. Not exactly a quality opponent, but that'll get it done. Overall, way too many TOs and FT shooting was poor again, gave up 40 points in the second half. UNLV will run us out of Vegas if we repeat this performance.

Good win overall. Good game by Connor, Ako, and AJ. Hopefully the team feels bit more loose and looking forward to Vegas.

Kings vs Golden Knights Sunday and Rice BB Monday & Wednesday...a good 4 Days in Vegas.

UNLV has been down the last few years and their 2 wins this year have been at home against Florida A&M and Prairie View so they are a bit of an unknown.

Congratulations on Coach Pera first win. Unfortunately, we be lucky to win two more games before conference play starts.

First win and first blowout of the Coach Pera era. I hope we can take a game in Vegas next week. That would be great!
