RE: Check out ESPN Gameday
What a horrific story. Catheter Ablation is a relatively safe procedure with excellent results. The underlying condition - V-tach - is not a particularly life-threatening condition if it's non-sustained. It sounds like they took a relatively healthy young heart and trashed it. He walks into the doctor's office for an out-patient procedure and walks out needing a transplant. This is like taking your car in to have the tires rotated and and then getting a call saying it's been totaled. I sure hope they tried to solve the issue with medication first or somebody is probably going to have a big lawsuit on their hands.

Best wishes to the young man!

Thanks for the link. Sad but inspiring story. I wish him and his family nothing but the best.

There is no such thing as a minor procedure. If you have a heart problem that requires killing parts of the heart to fix it, you have real problems. Unfortunately things snow ball. Hope the young man gets him a healthy heart.
