I haven't seen the last few on CBSSN. Do they still talk about the game they are announcing? Or have they gone the ESPN route and talk about other games half the time?

They actually sound like they care about who’s playing on the field.... Good enough for me.

RE: NIU @ Central Michigan CBS Sports 11am CST
Enjoy the moment and 2017 journey:
I thought the broadcasters on ESPN 2 last nite did a pretty fair, balanced and informed job of calling the game... despite the almost comical wind conditions...they gave kudos for NIU fans ( students excluded) being hardy ...was nice to see cameras capture the various NIU title pennants in stadium whipping atop flag poles....and the plaque and statue of Diesel... did the band perform at halftime? if so what tunes?...whoever is inside Victor E Huskie costume has a bit more "personality" and moves than some prior performers...nice to see WMU cheerleaders in attendance...not too many MAC squads travel ...still missing and longing for the cannon... apparently children at OHIO U are not as startled/frightened easily by the booms...maybe young Huskie pup fans don't attend july 4 fireworks either .....KA BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunate Beebe did not have one of his better performances on Senior nite with his dad in the pressbox. and on the air with DHoward recalling their NFL days

HMB played halftime and much respect to them for putting their mouths on metal, braving the wind and staying for the whole game. As for the songs during halftime they were the same tired songs as when I was a student almost 20 years ago...which were oldies back then.

I guess the music was meant for those Alums from 1979 or something.

Beebe was very complimentary about Huff. Says he has the skills, body, and speed to play and be a top back in the NFL. He is a very special player.

Morris 11 games 207/370 2661 yds 23 TDs 12 INTs
Woodside 11 games 206/316 3151 yds 22 TDs 2 INTs

So he's not as consistent, and clearly turns it over more, but our secondary has been garbage lately so this isn't a good stat to see lol.

The bulk of the INTs were early in the season during OOC. He has only thrown four INTs in MAC play along with 14 TDs.

Agree and would think the way NIU's secondary has been playing in recent weeks they will get burned for at least a couple big plays.

ESPNU has 68 million subscribers and CBSSN has 60 million, so although I think CBSSN puts on a better production I'd rather be on ESPNU. DirecTV Now didn't carry CBSSN until a few months ago but had U from the beginning.

I meant DirecTV Now, the streaming service. Probably not near as many customers though, but if it's 8 million less subscribers than U there must be a lot of other systems that don't have it.

Despite his talent Carey would have benched him after his second interception. He would not have been given a chance to improve and a lesser talented QB who is so risk averse as to be ineffective would be their starting QB.
