Lawson will be sold out on many a night. Good for the bottom line.

Yep. I hear all the time 'the move to the NCHC destroyed all the rivalries with the Michigan schools'. Seems to me like we play half the CCHA out of conference. Plus we get the top teams in College Hockey (and can win vs them) in conference. Win-Win.

"North Dakota needs to join the Big Ten to play Minnesota and Wisconsin"? No, play them out of conference. Not hard.

Props to Mel for not taking up Red's pathetic snobiness when it came to scheduling WMU. Red refused to play one-for-one for years, so Andy told him to take a hike.

That would be pretty sweet if we had those four schools making appearances in Kzoo next season.

And we beat them more often now, because we're used to playing at a higher level. The NCHC has been all good for WMU's Hockey program.

Who's to say we wouldn't having the same success in the CCHA? Apples and oranges.

When conceivably 4 out of the 8 teams in your conference COULD be in the top 10 nationally... and you’re leading said conference while sweeping the #1 nationally ranked team... that plays in your conference... the CCHA never came close to the talent in the NCHC.

Not only that, but even as a top CCHA team the last few years of the CCHA, we'd get blown out by the North Dakota's, the Denver's, the Duluth's, when we played them out of conference; now we're sweeping them.
