Childers has good athletic ability but he has not yet shown much ability in the passing game. Carey seems committed to him so I hope that he improves. Many/most QBs would have struggled in tonight's weather conditions so it is tough to say if he is improving or not.

I am not going to knock his running ability when he is playing with a brace on his leg. Whether he grows into a good QB or not he is a warier.

We keep saying we hope he gets better at passing, yet here we are 7 starts later and he puts up 64 yards.

I remember a time when everyone kept hoping Graham would get better at passing...then two years later and he was no better.

7 starts later you have the same coaching staff, I think you answered your own question, every NIU QB up until Childers has regressed

He is by far far far and away the best QB on the roster though

What are you going to do when the whole board has you on ignore?

I could care less, idiots deserve to be called out

Yea, considering that we only pass if we absolutely have to, you'd think you'd give your best ballcarrier the ball WAY more than that. After the first drive when Huff made a couple WMU guys look clumsy, I don't think he even played in the next series. I would tolerate more than a couple mistakes by Huff if you get that kind of production from the RB spot, which we haven't had since Spann left.

It was a cold miserable time at the game tonight but the Huskie victory was worth it!

Ryan Roberts had two false starts and after his second they took him out. It didn't seem to be an issue after that.

Are you kidding? It was balmy compared to last week.

By the 4th quarter it was getting pretty dang cold. And I was cold in the first half, went below the stands to warm up during halftime.

Huff made a couple of special moves in that game. Obviously, the first run of the game will be one of his season highlights.
Gonna be tough to replace that when he's gone.

I think you did a good job of knocking him. Glad you are not my boss. Lol.

Sometimes honesty is the best policy. I really thought he would progress more already (I know the wind had a lot to do with it yesterday), but I will be very surprised we win our bowl game unless Huff goes off with Childers playing.

Did anyone on the east side figure out who littleman was? The best was when he was trash talking the fans while Sutton Smith scooped the fumble and ran it for six.

Not surprised. Should have kept feeding Franklin. Must have went to Carey's coaching clinic.

Hope they give it to Franklin 40 times against Toledo.

I love how there is never any other reasonable explanation besides "the coach sucks" for you. Franklin had 27 carries in the game. In the second half he had 8 carries for a whopping 17 yards. It wasn't overly effective in the second half. He also could have been burned out...it was cold, windy and he's had a very heavy workload. He might hit 1,000 carries before his career at WMU is over.

I believe Lester mentioned in his presser that he was gassed.
