Hill didn’t have much to say, which is really surprising because she once claimed Trump was a white supremacist.




Instead of offering any credit at all, she simply responded, “Not really. 1) I’m off today 2) reporting facts isn’t stressful,” to a tweet saying she was in for a stressful day after the players were released.

It’s pretty strange that Trump, who Hill fundamentally believes is a racist, would work so hard to free three young black men from spending years in a Chinese prison if Hill’s accusations against the president hold true. Even if you hate Trump, there’s no way you can look at what Trump did, and not walk away impressed. These players were possibly going to spend the next decade in a Chinese prison.

Thanks to President Trump they won’t even spend a full day behind bars. Very odd behavior from a guy Hill thinks hates black people.

How is a Tweet, or lack thereof, relevant to actual reporting?

It's outrageous how quickly press coverage has bought into embedding a few sample tweets or Facebook posts into articles that could otherwise convey the same information through standard reporting.

Just heard the three UCLA players do a press conference. They did admit their guilt in stealing the sun glasses. Two of the three did think President Trump for helping in their release. They are damn lucky to not be in a China jail cell. Now what does UCLA do in dishing out punishment to them. That is what I am waiting on.

It does not matter - whatever action is taken, somebody will be offended by it.

Maybe the consequence can be banning Papa Ball from the arena?


It will be not enough, too much, or athletic privilege.... UCLA can't win on this one.........

You give them the same penalty/sanction they would have gotten if busted Stateside and admitting to it. They are also barred from any future overseas trips, so as to not embarrass the U.S. or the University further.

Funny, the "Student- Athletes" can seem to find the ability to thank Trump for getting involved and likely saving their stones from many years of unpleasantness. Yet, this race-baiting, half-wit, msespn talking head has got a better handle on what happened here than the crooks themselves.

Does she still have a job? Is espn still open, still a thing?!?

People wanna find something to be happy about? I dont give a crap what the politics of the athletes or the politics of the president.

These guys were in brutal chinese communist dictatorship and are now home sleeping in their beds.

Just be thankful folks. This could have ended badly whether Trump or Obama were in charge and it didnt.

Obama would have been there when they got off the plane. He would have been with them when they met the press and he would have praised them for their courage and bravery while also claiming they were shop lifters that America could be proud of as he pinned a medal on them.
