UAB football
Another undefeated day for UAB football on November 15. The Blazers are 2-0 on this day.

** On this date in 1997, UAB defeated their coach, Watson Brown's future employer, Tennessee Tech by the score of 38-14.

**On this date in 2008, UAB traveled to the Superdome in New Orleans and defeated Tulane 41-24. Joe Webb rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns.

The basketball Blazers are 2-2 on this date.

**On this date in 1989, UAB traveled to Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence Kansas to play the Jayhawks, coached by Roy Williams in his second year at Kansas. This was a game in the Preseason NIT tournament. UAB lost big, 109-83.

**On this date in 2008, UAB and Troy played for the first time. UAB won in Troy 87-66.

**On this date in 2009, UAB played Samford in the Hispanic College Fund Tournament in Kent, Ohio. It was the first and only time UAB had played Samford since 1983. The Blazers won 55-52.

Born on this day in 1985 was Michael Anderson Jr. Son of UAB coach Mike Anderson, Anderson Jr. Played in 7 games in 2005-2006. He followed his father to Missouri and completed his college career there. He was the video coordinator at Arkansas for two years before being dismissed after pleading guilty to DUI in 2012.
