Based on actual results, I cannot find 20 wins. We struggled against the lower quarter of D-1,were thrashed by UAB and depleted AL, and “won” a moral victory over Louisville since we “only” lost by nine.

However, I could be wrong. The “ very good team” touted by Tubby is destined for the post season per Tubby.

Why?

All you have to do is have an idea of what the incoming guys can be expected to do. Then look at the schedule. Realize there are 7 or 8 bobo games in OOC that should be gimme wins. A couple others that home court is sufficient if there is a question, and some obvious losses based solely upon the other team's talent.

Same for the conference. WSU and Cinci are heads and shoulders more talented regardless. USF and ECU are putrid. Kinda work the home/away values on some of the rest and expect on win over someone you shouldn't and a loss to someone you shouldn't.

You mention one of the reasons that makes it not silly. The other thing that makes it not silly is when those pieces aren't highly regarded.

This year's team is as easy to predict as the 2008 team was.

6-4 would be good, 5-5 should be expected and 4-6 could happen. I think we have the same odds to go 7-3 as we do 3-7.

One thing about the team is that at the end of close games we are for sure going to smell blood and be more confident than our opponents. Hopefully, that will give us a few more wins.

Once we get into conference play every game will be a war. Starting the games slowly (like we have been doing so far) places us in a position where some games could be decided by halftime.

A good thing is the Tigers have gotten much better but the flip is so have our opponents.

We could be underdogs in every game except Tulsa here and maybe at USF.

I think you guys are vastly overestimating the lower-half of the AAC. Those teams are junk. Even with a juco all-star team, we out-talent those bums.
