some of you folks wouldn't be happy if Penny was coaching this team..you'd still be finding something to complain about.
Is Smith the answer? Maybe not....support the young men on the team.
Coaches come and go...the players are Tigers for Life...remember?

It's not Tubby's coaching. It's his recruiting. 0-2 on priorities, with 1 remaining. And it's not like we are against KS, Duke or KY for these guys.

I don't want him coaching either...just because I know how bad some fans of Memphis are. Penny deserves better than that. I do wish that he was an assistant for recruiting purposes tho..but he and Smith don't see eye to eye or something.

I don't know that they don't see eye to eye (maybe they don't). It just doesn't make sense to bring Penny in as an assistant. Why would Tubby want a Memphis idol looming over his shoulder? Any slip ups and the fan base is going to call for Penny to be hired as the head coach, it could really turn into an awkward situation.
