RE: ** 100 MILES OF HATE ** (Friday Night Lights Edition)
I will be there but wouldn't be surprised if Middle's and Western's band out number fans....

probably wont be that bad but not very good. Bowling Green High and South Warren might out draw this game...they will probably have 5 or 6 thousand.

I expect to see Middle use short outs and some form of the wheel route 10,000. Well it will seem like that. Then hit a couple pump and runs for tds. Since Western only plays 2 linebackers the middle of the field will be open to bust one up the gut after a few short passes to the back. By then one of Westerns 2 linebacker will be going in coverage with that rb and the middle will be open.

Don't worry about Western out scoring you....24 points will win this game for Middle. At some point Western's passing game will look like it can march down and score at will. Don't worry...if it happens early, coach wont do it again. He will come out trying to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down for the next 3 to 4 drives. By then Middle will be up 14 to 21

If you go up over 2 scores....don't pull a Doc and let a team get back in it by trying to run out the clock. If you do our coaches have no choice but to go back to pass first, quick tempo.....it will work as it has all season when Western plays this way.

The only thing that will do is give these excuse makers (coaches and maybe 3 fans) something to point a finger at the players....

instead of looking at the real problem

Oh, I can promise you if we get up that much that is exactly what Stockstill will do. Did it against both UTEP and Charlotte and I swear that our defense spent the entire 3rd qtr on the field against Charlotte. After putting in all the backups, he had to put Brent and the rest of the starters back in the game to finish the 4th qtr.

By the way, why all the disgruntlement over trying to find a running game? In looking at White's season, he will have more attempts and more completions than he had last season by the time the game is over. The difference appears to be the big play, which probably goes more to losing the receivers that White had at his disposal last year than anything else.

Also of note, Brent is still not Brent so this is not the same offense you guys have faced over the past couple of years. Not sure if the Charlotte fans could tell it or not, but Brent has lost an immense amount of arm strength due to the injury. His ball is floating more and doesn't have the zip on the ball that we've become accustomed to. So, you have a weakened Brent and no Richie James. There is no reason for wkcc to lose this game at home. This is a MT team team that is still only operating at about 60% power.

We've also apparently lost our first string running back (who was actually the 4th string RB before all the injuries) to an injury himself. If there is any good news for MT, it is the fact that we may have found the answer to the running back problem after moving Tavares Thomas from linebacker to running back. He's looking more like a RB than a LB playing RB and is a beast at 240 lbs.

This hasn’t been recognized enough this season, imo. Two of the three first half three-and-outs of the Marshall game were a result of the WRs dropping easy passes on 3rd down.

As far as attendance...expect there to be a lot of students (in the first half), but not many fans otherwise. I don’t mind Thursday night games, but Fridays are just stupid. Especially when competing with high school playoffs (with several very good teams in the BG area).

I think BG is #2 this year but they are 2 time repeating state champs and #1 in the state

Hell maybe we all should just go watch some good football....

don't think we will see that at the Houch Friday night between two teams trying to limp into a bowl game

Calling for severe storms and winds up to 40mph Friday afternoon/night......MT is going to kill WKU since passing will be difficult for either team and WKU has zero rush game

Ugh, not sure if these two teams are worth weathering an actual storm.

KY cant be much different than Tenn when it comes to weather.....

got to wait till Wednesday night, Thursday morning before you really know and then it's probably a 40% chance that will change. It's probably changed since Hilltopperfan looked at it (or maybe it hasn't for me) but right now it's a slight chance for rain late Friday night. As long as it's not lightening I'm OK......my seats are under roof and I only have a short 20 yard run to the parking garage . I think it will clear out or hold off and high 50s to low 60s is not bad for a Nov night

I'm still football mode...even at a disappointing 5-5. But Middle fans will be surprised with this years Western basketball team. Really quick and plays very hard. Even with only 7 scholarship players and 5 of those guards

Don’t know what weather forecast y’all are looking at, but I see 15 mph winds with a “slight” chance of a storm.

Seems to be more chatter about BG vs. South Warren then this game which is pathetic in itself especially when everyone knows BG is going to destroy them again like they did the first meeting....I mean seriously what town has people complaining and questioning why this game is on a Friday night when they have a matchup of BG vs. South Warren...Maybe if WKU changed its name to Bowling Green High School we would draw more than 15k a game for football....

As far as game goes I have no idea except MTSU should be able to score fairly easy...

I dont MT scores easy, I just don't see WKU being able to score unless the weather holds off. If it rains we would be completely screwed since we can't run the football regardless if we are being defended or not

I'd imagine Shafer will absolutely tee off with the blitzing this week. I'd feel more comfortable with a dry game as well.

.
That would be my strategy to start at least, White is not very mobile and the running game is inept usually. Not sure how Sanford would react.
All the weather forecast I see for BG calls for just cloudy and windy, no rain until Saturday.
