MyBB SC Piece on UVU's First 24
Was about to watch this on my computer and then it popped up on SportsCenter. Here is the link for it online. Really great job they did to capture two games.

I had to laugh at the "no history" part of that. Ouch! Made me wish we had some UVU fans posting here regularly, to ask what they though about that comment.

I respect what Mark Pope did. IMO and I said this even before this weekend that they are the team to beat in the Wac this year. Let's see if Orem wakes up and supports this team.

Impressive, particularly the Kentucky game. UVU will be a load to deal with this season. Way to represent the WAC. The exposure for UVU and the WAC is priceless.

RE: SC Piece on UVU's First 24
After the first weekend, the teams in the following order concern me the most about NMSU repeating as the WAC tourney Champion...

1. Utah Valley... Akolda Manyang is a game changer. He alone gives UVU the defensive presence they lacked a year ago. Throw in a few D1 transfer and they have a deep bench.
2. Cal State Bakersfield... The new guys look much better than anticipated. Barnes has the guards to continue his tenacious defensive pressure. And, Joiner is special.
3. Grand Canyon... A good team oriented offense with a lot of weapons. Braun is arguably the best offensive player in the WAC... but can the Lopes apply enough defensive pressure when the pedal hit the road?
4. Seattle U... Hayford and his D1 transfers have already made the Redhawks a better team.

Im anxious to see how this Georgia Southern game goes tonight. If well, then perhaps I'll get excited...to a degree.

Should be an interesting night for WAC basketball. Hopefully the Saint Mary's game will be competitive.
