The conference should get a lot of publicity out of this with Kiffin in the CCG. Some of it might be negative, like... 'this conference must really suck if Kiffin can take over at FAU and win it in 1 year'.

I am not sure. FAU has always had the talent but not the coaching...

But one thing is clear, until we beat a non-conference opponent in the bowl there will still be enough negativity connected to the conference due to Kiffin.

1999 regular season @ Western Michigan - Marshall 34-17
1999 MAC ccg @ Marshall - Marshall 34-30 (trailed 23-0 in the third qtr)

2000 regular season @ Marshall - Western Michigan 30-10
2000 MAC ccg @ Marshall - Marshall 19-14


It's tough to bet a team twice in the regular season. I don't see it this year though.
