Best Play of the Year?
Not sure you can give it to a losing team but this was an amazing effort from UTSA's only offensive player, QB Dalton Sturm.

Hell of a play, but not as bad for UAB looking at it a second or third time as it looked live. We didn't get nearly the hands on him I thought we did initially. That probably makes it an even more impressive play.

Great play. Better than Fine throwing a game winning TD while getting absolutely smoked? I personally don't think so but I may have a slight bias there

Can you post Fine's "game winning" touchdown? Maybe have a poll too.

I am still having nightmares about the 3rd and 19 run that Sturm pulled off in Denton. At the time, I thought that play cost us the game.

Sturm is a dangerous QB.

I wasn't even that upset when I saw it. Sometimes a guy just makes a play on you, and that was one hell of a play.

This is an cool topic to discuss. The Mason Fine touchdown pass to win the UTSA game would be UNT's entry into this contest. Fine gets smashed by the defense but completes the pass. The video is of the entire final drive but it should start at that play.

My observation? Any time Singletary has the ball in his hands could turn out to be the play of the year. He is fun for anyone to watch except when he is playing against that person's team.

And to think that only two FBS schools offered him (FAU and Illinois)... Charlie Partridge was a crappy coach but an excellent recruiter. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
