They've been up and down like that for about a decade if not longer. I remember back in CUSA they were always up and down like that.

That is consistent.

6-6 is inconsistent.

At UCF’s nadir I posted it was only a blip. It was not particularly prescient, but acknowledgement of the resources at their disposal waiting for the right coach to wield it.

very few teams have gone winless one season and bowling the next, UCF has done it twice since 2004. george o'leary has the unique distinction of his first season being winless and his last season being winless; some conference titles and a BCS bowl win in between though.

roller coasters are more fun than the trams.

It's a great way to rake in Coach of the Year awards

So when Frost leaves in a couple of weeks 0-12/1-11 next season?

Unless Milton, Killings, wr core, etc leave. It would be an extremely deep team no matter who takes over.

I brought up a similar point in a prior thread a few weeks ago.

UCF from 2005 (1st year in CUSA) through last year (2016):

-6 division championships or better (4 were conference champs)
-5 seasons below 0.500
-1 season in between (8-5 in 2009)

IIRC, that's the most division/conference championships over that time. Still, despite this success, we can't help but have a losing season in non-championship seasons. Those losing seasons have stymied us building momentum as a program. Obviously, 2015 was the worst. 0-12 completely negated all the progress GOL had built up over the prior three seasons (10-4 division champ, 12-1 conference champ, 9-4 conference champ).

I don't. That's why I could never get behind the Astros.

UCF wants either Top 10 or Bottom 10 no in between.

I don't know that we play the same schedule as SEC school...but it is BS to me that a undefeated American school is behind any team with two losses..... I can stomach they put 1 loss teams ahead of a undefeated one in the AAC....but man 2 losses is just garbage.

UCF has had 3 actual bad years since 2008, including that season. Not really as inconsistent as people think.

So this year UCF will be 10 or 11-1 and champions of the Birmingham bowl?

Even IF S. Frost is Nebraska bound.
It'd make UCF look like a Top Tier program

I think there is a $3.5 million dollar offer on the table.

You know this is already happening. That a deal has not been announced is a little disturbing

Consistency is overrated. Give me the high highs and low lows over 8-4 every year.
