Georgia St, App St, Troy, and stAte all with one conference loss


Week 13

stAte the only one with a game next week. Time for TXST to get that shock win.


Week 14

App St vs GSU

ULM vs stAte

TXST vs Troy

Could end in a three way tie.

Troy has it easiest thanks to a game hosting TXST.

stAte may fund trouble in ULM.

App or GSU will be co-champs (or outright champs if Troy and/or stAte blow it)

Whoda thought two months ago that App State at Georgia State would be a potential Sun Belt ring game?

I can envision 2 scenarios:
1) GSU is satisfied with having bowl eligibility and come out flat against App
2) CSE marked App as THE team to beat (because of his personal connection to App) and preps the team to play like they're in the Superbowl

If Elliott can't get his team fired up to play App against his old roommate, then he should be fired on the spot.

We basically get to get back a couple weeks and watch this play out. Hopefully to our advantage.

I'd really like the Sunbelt if this kind of stuff was happening due to us all playing really great football. The frustrating part is how our supposedly good teams suddenly turn into Keystone Cops in games where they should dominate. This has been a terrible year for the Sunbelt. We looked so good at the end of last year and now about the only thing we have to hang our hat on is Troy beating LSU.

I agree but as bad as this year has been, I am pretty interested to see how it plays out. My team has been done for the year but this keeps me excited to watch conference games the rest of the way.

South Alabama (3-3) defeats Georgia Southern (0-5) and New Mexico State (2-3)
Troy (5-1) loses to Texas State (2-4) and Arkansas State (4-1)
Georgia State (4-2) defeats Appalachian State (5-1) and loses to Idaho (2-3)
Idaho (2-3) defeats all of Coastal Carolina (0-6), New Mexico State (2-3), and Georgia State (4-2)
Louisiana (3-2) loses to New Mexico State (2-3) and Georgia Southern (0-6), defeats Appalachian State (5-1)
Appalachian State (5-1) loses to Georgia State (4-2), defeats Louisiana (3-2)

But I'm not saying we are good. The SB is just average overall.
