We got the better end of that deal no doubt. HC and entire staff too.

I see the butthurt is still flowing

Took over a cluster with scholarship limits at the bare minimum

Turned the program around

19 wins in 2 years and the first conference title in over 40

Left it in good hands for the next coach

Get over yourself

Coach Fu lost the Tigers after the Ole Miss game because they all thought that they were fighting for the same thing, when he abandoned them in the middle of the season. But when the rumors became truth the team felt betrayed and their play suffered because of it.

Do I hate Coach Fu' & wish ill upon him? No, because he structured the program for success if the AD only hires the right coach.

Coach Norvell is respected by this team because of how he is handling these rumors as oppose to Coach Fu'. Coach Dickey helped Coach Norvell understand this because a good assistant keeps a barometer on how & what the team is feeling. Plus, guess who was there when it happened and didn't approve of it either, but you won’t hear him say it?

No one on this team or Fuente's last team begrudges a coach for seeking fertile ground but while you are their coach, you must be their coach. Coach Norvell has already told them about the future honestly. He has assured and reiterated that he is their coach this season and won't discuss any job until the season ends. This position carries weight in the players' eyes.

Thank you.

Do it either one of y’all actually believe that he won’t duscuss any job until the season ends?

It doesn't matter what I think. It only matters what the team thinks.

Will be forever grateful to Coach Fuente. Have to agree with your assessment though.

Fuente saved the program, won a conference championship, got us ranked higher than we have ever been ranked and left Tiger football in great shape. Norvell kept the ball rollong. The past few years have been fun. If we win next week we will play in our first ever conference championship game.

the people that hired fuente saved the program, saved it after he left by hiring norvell, and will continue to save it.

Amen. People act like he did us a favor. He was well-compensated for his efforts.

He did something just about every other coach we have ever had was unable to do. And he did it after taking over a historically bad program that had reached rock bottom. You act as if anybody could have easily done what he did.

He brought us back from the coaching graveyard. We should be grateful. He has a great eye for undeveloped talent. BUT he checked out way too soon and it hurt our program for the rest of the year including the bowl game.

Some of the threads and posts in this site are hilarious. Almost like reading posts in this place. For some reason, a few of their fans don’t trust him. 03-lmfao Calling for him to kill the rumors.

That's not at all how I'm acting. I know he was responsible for what he did here, and I acknowledge his greatness as a coach. But now he's not our coach, and I'm not gonna cuck to him. Norvell is our coach now, and when he's gone it will be the next guy. You want to throw a parade for Calipari? I sure don't.

He has a better chance of winning championships at VT than any of the above mentioned jobs. Do you think he will leave VT for any of those? I don't.

I dont blame him for leaving. I dont like that he did it essentially after beating Ole Miss. He met with Bud Grant before the season was over for a meet and greet.

I know that we won two games between Ole Miss and Navy in 2015, but do you remember those games?

Tulsa scored 42 on us.
Tulane was up 13.0 on us.

We took care of business but by then the signs were iffy.

I actually think he could win with UT as opposed to VT. Clemson's Dabo Sweeney is youngish...he will be there awhile. Saban may not be at Bama in a while. He s on the hill going down on his career. All Fu has to do is wait him out. Knoxvegas is a good college atmosphere.
