RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
South Carolina was in the Final Four last year. Not exactly the same as Longwood or Gardner-Webb but I agree that Kentucky shouldn't lose to practically anyone. I don't expect them to be undefeated but they ought to be top 10 and Sweet 16 at a minimum. We need to be top three in the conference and be a regular in the conference championship game in my opinion. I'd like more but it is hard to build up to a Gonzaga level or Whitchita State level.

I was attending USC last year. The final four run was great but they lost nearly the whole team. UK had no business losing that game. USC wasn’t even talked about for the tourney until that win. They are still a long shot to get in. All I’m saying is the team is struggling but they are still working some kinks out. I still think we will make a run.

I really hate to think the team has given up on the season. Ashville hit us in the mouth and we never responded... like they always do. Sure hoping the best for these guys to get it turned around.

Could you have imagined us dropping 5 in a row like this? I sure couldn’t. I’m wondering if we finish with a winning record at this point. Still think we have the talent to beat any team on the achedule the rest of the way. I remain hopeful the young men are able to put it together and make a run.

Well, back in the win column, even if it was against Presbyterian. Good games for Kemrite and McDowell while we are still two players down. Great shooting by the Flames today. Our defense in the second half was terrible, even though Pres shot the lights out. It feels good to win again.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
I'm not picky; I'll take a win just about any way I can get it, especially with a five game losing streak in the Big South...

Go Flames! Make this the start of a special run!

Big game tonight. If we lose there is a decent chance we finish at .500

Great win! Need to keep up the momentum. We may be pulling together at just the right time.

When I was in school a while ago, there was a condensed band that went to the games. Like some trumpets, trombones, maybe some drums.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
I saw the attendance for the GWU game was 3197. That was a really good turn out. It was almost 900 more than our average for the year over 1000 more if you exclude the GWU game. Average with GWU game 2,306 without 2179

Wow! What a game. That was a great win, and totally unexpected. You never know what you’ll get with this team. Nice to finally beat Ashville.

Starting to be like the football team. Great win though!

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
Dare I dream, hope, that we win the last three games of the regular season?
LIBERTY 17-11 (8-7)
..... @ Campbell 14-13 (8-7)
..... vs. Radford 16-12 (9-6)
..... vs. High Point 12-14 (7-8)

Believe it or not, I believe at this point last year we were either 18-10 or 17-10 heading into our last three games.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
If you told me that we'd finish the regular season at .500 against the Big South, I'd have told you that you are crazy. I don't know that I've every been more disappointed by an 18-win season. It is a very bittersweet year that could still end well if we take care of business in the Big South tournament.
