I literally watched 5 minutes of the first half where we seemingly had all of the Alabama team in foul trouble but still couldn’t build a lead. My 1 year old told me he wanted Cracker Barrel so we went and ate biscuits....

Checked twitter though dinner. Memphis Tiger Basketball use to be all my timeline talked about during games. Even when JP was here. Only people tweeting were Gianato or whatever. Like literally nobody cares anymore

The NCAA and college basketball in general are a joke, and this offseason should have proven that to everyone. At this point I would rather take calculated risks and win the wrong way than lose the right way. I know a lot of folks will disagree with that, but it's how I feel.

It was a less than ideal game, but I saw effort (if not skill). I watched only the 2nd half, but I always care about the team so long as they fight, even if they lack talent.

They played hard tonight, they will get better. I don't think they get good, but might get to ok if they work.

We'll see...

And that is the baseline at all times.

Lose, but lose with your boots on and with effort, and I will NOT be hard on the kids.

Some of my favorite teams have been teams that were overmatched, but played hard (the Omar Sneed teams had heart, if not enough juice).

Winning is the most fun, but losing with heart and guts can still be fun... for a season or two... after that... well, Tubby won't be here anymore if we're still discussing heart / guts in 2019/20....

I can't argue with that.

But when a guy is getting paid 3mill per, this level of talent is unacceptable at Memphis. It's not the players' fault they are put in this position.
