RE: Let's turn out for the WMU game
Wish we could be there to support the team seniors but we used our work time off for the Diesel Memorial dedication / EMU game.

I will be donating our 3 tickets to any military member or first responder who would like to attend the game.

If anyone else wants to do that, email Thomas in the NIU ticket office at Tstolley@NIU.edu and he can take care of it for you. Be sure to give him acct. number of your season tix as well as the name the acct. is under.

Are there any ticket price specials for the game? Trying to convince two friends to come to the game.

RE: Let's turn out for the WMU game
I admire my fellow Huskie Football fans for making a trip to DeKalb inorder to support our glorious football team perform.
Will be there in spirit.
There is definitely something to be said for a game day experience.
Both outdoors , even indoors and reluctantly to many a virtual game experience.

If they are selling virtual tickets for an online interactive Huskie Football community experience I am in. With the voice of Bill Baker as an optional aside and NIU students in the computer science department doing a virtual application showing each player, his history, personalized experience and NIU business and marketing students involved in the practical management of this project and gaining real work experience! Legal eagles can make sure it does not impede the ESPN MAC contract.
This can start off as a pilot project with maybe 100 supporters paying $50 a game.
That way the project could get off the ground. The virtual platform can allow for marketers to buy advertise it space and even interactive questionnaires.
Instead of paying outside contractors to build a structure at union wagers, students who will earn minimum wages without a huge pension(paid by the State of Illinois) will make this project relatively much cheaper.

Within a few years I hope that this vision of a supportive virtual online NIU football community which unites NIU fans throughout the world, for example (when Dog fan is in Mexico) or a fan is visiting or on business in any place where there is internet access he/she can feel part of the NIU Football virtual community.
For an additional fee fans like myself can give interactive comments.
I will even fill out marketing surveys to add money to the project.
This will hopefully be part of the future of NIU football.

With the gas money saved driving to DeKalb, tolls, wear and tear (depreciation), parking, hotel, ... will happily spend that to be part of the NIU Huskie family online.

Until this occurs I will listen to Bill Baker and follow online.

Am very grateful to those younger fans who will drive to the game in the afternoon and either head back home after the game or stay in DeKalb over night. That is incredible dedication the good old fashion way.

Hope that many people turn out to tailgate and be part of this game day experience.

I'm on train now to get 2 car and game. But work has gotten in the way for 3 of my usual suspects. It is too bad.

Originally planned to take day off. Changed plan to 1/2 day because of meetings I needed to go to. Got tied up at office and on train now. Will arrive after kick.

Yeah #MACtion

Better attendance while the weather was worse than last week...I guess that was a positive.

As for tailgating there were 2 cars and Huskie Hogs RV on the South half of the East lot. I wish they would open that half of the lot (student side) open to ALL season ticket holders for these late season MACtion games. Give the season ticket holders who want to tailgate a better option than being in the Convo, Movie, Stevenson or Water Tower lots.

For those who watched the game on TV - did you see the Diesel Memorial shown just before the final 3 min. or so of the 3rd quarter?

It looked awesome. Hoping everyone saw it.
