Pitt is not looking good this year.

A game between two rebuilding programs. Was fun to watch, even though Pitt came back to win.

Sucks for Maryland Eastern Shore. Games like this are how they keep their lights on.

AAC now 19-4, but three of those losses are bad.

UCLA 106
UCA 101
Final OT

UCLA was lucky to win this one. Central Arkansas was red hot from deep and the Bruins played poor defense throughout.

True. Of course by this point last year the AAC was already 13-6. With 4 of the 6 losses being upset losses. And after tomorrow the AAC was only 16-10.

If the AAC can go 3-0 tomorrow they would be a whopping 6 games ahead of last years pace after 22 games. And they're favored in all 3 games. It'll be interesting to see Temple, the last d1 team to start their season vs a decent Old Dominion team. That's how you improve your RPI.

Opening game at Wofford's new arena.

South Carolina used to routinely play Big South/SoCon schools on the road under Darrin Horn, this is the first I believe under Frank Martin.

I'm guessing last years schedule had at least a few games by now against teams that had a pulse. This year has been nothing but the softest of cupcakes, hard to tell much from that. Just out of curiosity, who do you think is the best win so far?

last years schedule really didn't have much meat either early. Last years best win was vs 129 Albany(from KP)

this year-
Wichita beat #77 Charleston
UCF beat #99 Mercer
so 2 wins better than anything last year- plus 1 fewer bad loss.

Read that Illinois St had only 8 scholarship players for this one. Missing 2 starters. That Dan Muller can coach.

He sure can. Would've liked to see that team in the tournament last year.

what's so big about losses like what South Carolina had today- it's the further rounds of these tournaments....

now instead of getting Boise and then one of Iowa St or Tulsa- they're going to get UTEP and then one of App St or Western Michigan. Can really impact the SOS a bit as we go along.

Women:

LSU-Shreveport (NAIA) 86
Jackson State (D1) 85

http://www.victorysportsnetwork.com/Clip...-state.htm

But not really an upset, they are both in the zone where high NAIA and low D1 overlap. But D1's think they should never lose to an NAIA program. Wasn't an exhibition for Jackson State.

A10 with another upset loss- Dayton loses to Hofstra. 72-69. Now instead of seeing Clemson, they get Ohio. Then instead of Auburn or Temple, they get either Indiana St or Old Dominion. Not good for the SOS.

You're cherry picking again Stever. Dayton was only a 3 point favorite in their loss to Hofstra. Saint Louis on the other hand was a 13 point underdog to Virginia Tech of the ACC and won. While a sweep would have been nice for the A10, I don't think they feel they had a bad night winning 3 of the 4 games tonight including one over a good ACC team.

it's a good win for SLU- but still- the loses are mounting for the A10. It's 10 now for the A10. None of the top 7 conferences have more than 6 losses. Nor do the MWC or MVC. All 9 of those conferences have winning percentages over .800. The A10 is sitting at .655. Tomorrow the A10 will be underdogs in 3 games big time. VCU/Virginia, Fordham/Florida St, SLU/Providence most likely. Dayton is a pick 'em vs Ohio. They could easily be 20-13 after tomorrow.

It's especially striking compared to the AAC, who is now 22-4.
